The invitations will be sent out to each person in the form of a passport with a note written on the inside telling the the time and place they will meet. the time is 5:30 to 8:52 February 10 because 5:30 is the time the deal was scheduled to take place and 8:52 is when exchange commenced. Each person will get a passport appropriate to them for example Donovan would receive an american passport as seen above. Whereas Vogel would receive a GDR passport with instructions saying "East Berlin/5:30-8:52...)

Donovan
James Donovan was the protagonist of this film and considered in real life to be an american hero. Easing tensions between the east a west. This was short lived however as the Cuban missile crisis escalated tensions to an all time high.

Abel
Abel was, as the film states, the most hated man in america. His fierce loyalty to his country nearly lead him to his death and his court case challenged american values and criminal process with his court case being nearly overturned in a 5-4 vote.

Mark Rylance
The actor who portrayed the cold and mysterious Rudolf Abel. His impressive performance earned him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor.

Vogel
Vogel is the east German contact in the film and represents the GDR. His life outside of the spy exchange was extremely important as he was the east representative in all discussions between the west and east Germany as the two had no official ties and neither officially recognized the other.

F. Gary Powers
The U-2 spy pilot who was shot down while on a mission over the USSR. This mission was the first attempt to fly across the entirety of the USSR photographing new areas and providing crucial information. These images would never be recovered after powers was shot down and captured during his mission.

Tom Hanks
The famous actor who portrayed Donovan in the film. He helped show the tenacity and morality of a american hero who, prior to this movie, was unknown to most of present day Americans.

James A. Henretta
Accomplished historian who wrote about american history including the cold war.

Economic Impact from Immigration

A common argument that is used both in favor and against immigration is the economic impact of immigration. Through research I have found that while it is near impossible to definitively state whether immigrants in large quantities are helpful or harmful the united states economy, their effect in either direction does not have a substantial impact in most aspects of the economy. While there are significant differences in first generation immigrants and native residents their overall impact does not have significant effect on the average American. Arguably the most important is on population. Immigration in recent years has reached levels of the early 1900's except now most immigrants are from Asia and Latin america instead of Europe. According a US census survey, growth in american prime working age individuals is mostly contributed by immigrants having a ~ 2% growth in prime age immigrants with native citizens losing prime age population at ~ -0.5% growth.
